VARIOUS SEXUAL PERVASIONS IN THE CONTEMPORARY WORLD, AND BIBLICAL POSITIONS ON SEXUALITY WITH IMPLICATIONS TO THE CHURCH AND SOCIETY

Abstract

The contemporary world is characterised by a complex and multifaceted landscape of human sexuality, which is marked by various forms of sexual perversion. A nuanced understanding of biblical teachings on sexuality is necessary in light of this phenomenon, which presents serious challenges to the Church and society. This examination provides an in-depth analysis of various sexual perversions, including homosexuality, transgenderism, and pornography and explores the biblical positions on these issues. A critical review of relevant scriptures, including Genesis 1-2, Leviticus 18-20, and Romans 1, provides a framework for understanding the biblical perspective on human sexuality. The effects of these teachings on society and the Church are talked about, with a focus on encouraging a kind and healing way of helping people who are struggling with sexual perversions. Ultimately, this study aims to equip the Church to navigate the complexities of contemporary sexuality while remaining faithful to biblical teachings and promoting the
transformative power of the gospel.
