Abstract

Dream is an unavoidable and important aspect in human phenomenal experiences. This Research briefly discusses on view of Ahlus Sunnah Wal-Jama’ah on “Dream” and their Opposition. The paper made use of descriptive and prescriptive methods. Data was obtained from the Holy Qur'an and consultation of relevant books. The paper discovered that, due to frequent re-occurrence and
preoccupation of dreams, there emerged fake scholars and interpreters who engaged in distorting and propagating extremism, falsehood at the detriment of people’s interest thereby luring them to accept the reality of such interpreted dreams, which are provocative and sheer falsehood. People should be aware of falsehood teachers, clerics or interpreters of dreams, whose aim is aimed at misleading the people through of falsehood. The paper advised scholars, clerics and fellow Muslim Umma to have an indepth re-think on the nature and essence of dreams which scholars, interpreters or clerics misinterpret and spread a distorted version of falsehood. All hands should be on deck for better ways to mitigate the distorted presentation of dreams been given falsehood clothing by interpreters, clerics and scholars.
