Abstract

This study examined the influence of environmental-related corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities on the Sustainable Livelihood of selected communities in Gombe State, Nigeria. The study employed the qualitative research design. The target population for the study was 25,479 individuals drawn from 19 corporations and 22 selected communities in Gombe State. Thematic and narrative analysis was used to analyse data collected for the study. Findings of the study reveal that environmental-related CSR activities contribute satisfactorily to sustainable livelihood of selected communities in the study area. Based on the result of the
findings, the study recommends among others that Corporations should pool their resources to implement expensive CSR projects, programmes and policies that encourage eco-friendly activities in the study area. The study also recommends the promotion of conservation of natural resources in the communities.
